HIV Test Kits

An HIV Test Kit can come in either the blood or the oral version. With a blood version, the kit actually utilizes the blood sample to test for the HIV antibodies that are present in the blood. The method to extract a sample of the blood would be to use a lancet to prick the finger tip. Thereafter, a dropper would be used to collect the blood from the finger tip for use in the test cassette. The HIV blood test is the most commonly used for rapid test kits in clinics and hospitals. Recently, the demand for a non-invasive method has fuelled the production of an oral version. An HIV oral test utilizes an oral sample by using a swab to wipe the gums for a fluid specimen. Both tests can be done from the privacy of your home.
